Weird data-spedd problem?

Hi

Have been recording a lot a few weeks ago. I have recorded in 1280x720 50 pics/sec. The bitrate is about 20000 kbps or more. Suddenly I realized that one of my takes is only running 1100 kbps. The clip takes about an hour. There is nothing wrong besides that. Theclip is viewable and looks OK - even it is possible to see that it is not the same high qualituy as the other clips.
Why is this hapeing? I remember I did mess a bit around with the camera that day, so I might have been pushing a button. But is it at all possible to make this setting on the HMC 151? I have never recorded in such a low bitrate before and I thought is was inpossible to get as low as 1100 kbps?
All clips besides from this single on in themiddle of alle the clips - is recorded in 20000 kbps.

Any clues? And can I do something about the clips to get it conforming to the rest of the clips in Premiere Pro CS5?

I simply do not know.

If you "did mess a bit around with the camera that day," it's possible you did something. Check the manual and you'll see there are a range of different recording formats, I think one goes as low as 6 Mbps. But, I'm not sure, because I've never once used the camera at anything other than "PH."

If the problem persists you should contact Panasonic service. If you think you messed with settings you can try to "reset" the camera. There isn't one single wonderful "reset," button/option on your HMC150 -- rather, I believe there are three separate menus you need to "INIT." Scene files need to be initialized individually (meaning turn the dial to each one and "INIT"), then there's the USER FILE "INIT" and the "MENU INIT" in the "Other Functions."

So -- to reset your camera -- do the second two "INIT" above, then turn the scene file dial to each scene file and "INIT" in the Scene file menu.

Obviously, these are variable bit rate, adaptive, long GOP recordings, so, if you film the inside of your lens cap the bit rate will lower overwhelmingly. But, I don't know what the lowest bit rate of "PH" is -- so, you may or may not have a problem. If the "reset" doesn't work then contact Panasonic Service.

Good luck!
