Weird 24/30 frame problem

OK...I'm experiencing a weird...can you help? Here it is:

I have an hour tape recorded at 24P using the STOCK DEFAULT scene 5 setting.
(24P is the default in scene 5 not 24PA)

I am capturing it into Adobe Premier Pro CS3 using Premier's 24P/24PA setting.

I have used this scene 5 default before and captured into P.Pro CS3 several times before and the playback is fluid and gorgeous.

PROBLEM: This time, at the 20 minute mark, when I turned the camera off and had a break before the next talent arrived, the capture goes wonky (technical term).
Everything after this 20 minute mark has HUGE AWFUL JAGGIES of a type so bad I am assuming I am looking at the pull-down frames or something. But it's not at a regular interval - mostly during any motion.

So, I captured this bad portion using the P.Pro standard DV 30 frame setting and it seems to look just fine.

Any ideas on what may have happened here?

~Thanks!

EDIT: OK, capturing at 30 frames does NOT look fine. The resolution has gone way down. Not usable.

UPDATE: I think it is an Adobe issue. If I shut EVERYTHING off and restart with the tape already positioned at the segment that had issues - then it's OK.
MY GUESS: Adobe has somehow lost some "sync" type info from where the tape was restarted and thus is NOT doing proper pulldown removal.

SOLVED:
(I am not sure if this is an Adobe CS3 issue or a camera issue.)
Not having time to lose, I launched into experimentation and found the following:
Somehow the "pulldown sync" (as I am calling it) was lost.
I verified the problem 3 times by creating an entirely new Premier project and recapturing at 24P (Once more at 30F, but forget about that).
Each time I got the exact same result = at about the 20 minute mark, where I had done a little playback and then turned off the camera, the pulldown was no longer being correctly removed from the CAPTURE.
SOLUTION:
1. cue up the tape in the capture deck to a few seconds WITHIN the portion that was failing.
2. Shut down and restart everything, create a new 24P project and begin the capture from this point.
3. Bada-bing bada-boom all over my nice ivy league suit, it's now correctly captured.

SO, I've saved my gig from going into a reshoot OR WORSE. but.......

How did this happen?
Has anyone else had this happen?
What can I do to prevent it?

Thanks everyone!

This really look like a pull down problem.

24p and 24pA both have pulldowns. Just different.

A 24p has a 3:2 pull down. Your TC break simply messed the 3:2 pull down, giving you the jerky playback.

So, as you said, capturing a new clip after the TC break is the way to go.

Thanks Sylvain,
This makes complete sense now.
We would have similar issues in the early days of digital audio tape recording. Sync tracks.
I wonder why I never got this TC break before...oh well, who cares...IT'S SOLVED.
Danke.
