week long Timelapse

Just wondering the best way to shoot timelapse of a CAT machine being assembled with either my HPX500 or HVX200 locked off. Want to shoot 720p 24N. Basically want to leave the camera at the site plugged in for a week. I have 16G P2 cards, which gives me 80 minutes record time in the camera without changing. I figure I can hotswap if I need to... anyone done this before?

I'd use GBTimelapse or iStopMotion with a digital camera, recording to hard drive. iStopMotion even allows capture from TWO cameras! Arrgh matey, angles!

Still cameras will capture much higher resolution, allowing you to "zoom" in on action much more than even 1080 captures.

I agree. A lot less money locked in someone elses room as well.
