Wedding Shot on the FS100

Shot this a while back on the FS100 and wanted to share. This is my 1st wedding so please just take it easy on me.

Very nice, couple's voiceover brings the video to life. Sincere docu style wedding videos are rare these days as it is all about style & posing. Few technical problems(out of focus, little shakes etc) can be overlooked and goes well with the editing style. I am sure the couple will love it.
As a suggestion; perhaps a glidecam, and a coordinated 2nd camera might improve the result overall.
Great job as a 1st wedding though.

Thanks, coming from shooting and producing corporate and narrative videos I always wonder what was it like do produce a wedding video. Very fast pace, unforgiving environment especially for me since I didn't wanted to interfere with their flow. You right about the mistakes, after 4+ hours of running around and trying to keep the pace, my arms were hurting and most of the long shots were done with an old vivitar tele lens (pump action), but overall I think it worked with the feel they wanted (vintage look and such). We play the video for them and they went flip out. Totally agree about having at least 2 shooters. Thanks for your advice!

Great stuff for a first wedding. I've just moved to fs100's for my stuff and getting focus quickly can be difficult. I've found that using peaking at the lowest level helps you get 90% of the way there very quickly and then, if you have time you can check your focus with the expanded focus button. At least then your focus is pretty close while you're still recording and a quick correction while you're on expanded focus isn't really noticeable meaning most or all of the shot is useable. Lovely!

With the voiceover, I'm curious how you got what you needed from them, was it scripted or were you prompting them with questions? I'd love to try that a little maybe at the end of the night.
