screen grabs of a wedding video shot this summer with DVX100A. I only show interior shots, all the shots was made with a ambient light and a 1K Lowel DP. In the church I attached a diffuser umbrella to Lowel DP light.

That's really nice looking to me. It looks like a film shoot instead of a wedding video. Any CC or scene settings you care to share?

yes the video has some CC, principally color curves, color correction in vegas Video.

what is your black setup at?
0% or 7.5%, the blacks and colors look very milky, Id put setup at 0% and master ped at -5

the framing seems very nice, but the color is lacking, try crushing down the blacks in CC.

Do you normally use a light in the church?
These look great, but most places I've been at they would kill me if I tried to set up a light during the ceremony.

I'm actually glad your pics came out this clear and animated, I know straight out of Vegas that things look kinda' chitty' but your stuff looks filmic and I'm sure on a regular tv that people would be astonished.
Btw, the girl on photo 6 looks like Jackie Guerrido, if it is then I definitaly have some photos to send her.

I second that it looks soft and personally I think people prefer to see more wide angle shots than closeups in weddings. Can you post them if you have some?

Hi all. thanks for your replies. Well, they look a bit soft but I´m not sure that the weedings videos must be very contrast, for my taste I prefer a bit soft... but, yes, maybe these pics look very soft.

The answers:

- I shot in 25P (pal) and my setting are 0 except -1 master pedestal (maybe the next wedding I´ll go to a -5 master ped)

- I don´t use any adapter, simply I shot at 2-2.8 f and max telephoto

- I always use lights in church, here in my country the churchs are very old and they are very dark. Here I haven´t problems with this :)

I have increase the contrast in pic 2.

I think your framing is great. I agree with the coments on them having a cinematic quality.

However, the image itself looks quite noisy to me. Maybe it's just the stills but I see alot ot grain.

As far as the CC pic you just posted....IMO you went too far. It makes the image too harsh. Gives it a harder edge that I'd personally not want in a wedding vid.

Nice shots as a whole though.

I gotta go with rook...too far on the contrast.
I would want to split the difference between the before and after.

But they look great.
Wish I could set up a 1K when I shoot in a church.

Lighting in a church? thats not another country thats another planet!!! I swear sometimes i feel lucky if i can negotiate shooting from behind two plants through a doorway and under a camoflauge hunting blind. hehe. Your shots look nice, i like to alternate between contrasty and soft images on weddings and really mix it up, keeps me from getting bored. The contrast was a bit too much on the last pic there, might want to bring that back a bit, or not, could look good in motion.

yes Spain is another planet, there ia a spain proverb that it say "Spain is different"... maybe to much different from other countries. Thanks all for the answers.

Hey guys. It looks pretty alright. I'm sure they'll love it. I decided to choose a random grab of yours and CC it. If this were my project, I'd probobly CC it like this

Here's the original:

and here's my CCd version:

Still really basic CC:
1. Overall curves
2. overall saturation lowering
3. further lowering the saturation on all colors but reds - bring the reds out. (the skirt, carpet, etc)

that's my two cents worth. Looks pretty good otherwise. I'm sure they'll be very happy with the video.
