Wedding Music Video - Letus35

yeah, I only had one camera.
This was the second wedding I ever did, and since I had no idea what I was doing, I did it for free. And no lavs for the audio either...the audio really sucks on this one. But the couple will just be glad that I'm giving them something- they're extremely nice people.

Been there brother... if you look in the gallery on my webiste, you will see the one and only wedding I have done to date. It was a freebie.

I look back on that footage now and I am like "What was I thinking?" Trombone zooms all over the place. I know now that I would have shot it completely different, and better.

It also didn't help with the gestapo regulations of the church. We couldn't be any where but the dead center up in the balcony (although the balcony wrapped around the entire church), and we could be any further up than the last person the last pew. So 100 people could have been in front pews, but if some homeless beggar was in a pew way in the back, we couldn't be any further up than him.

Anyway.. I am digressing..

dang man, those are some crazy rules!

So far I haven't had to deal with anything like that, but I'll be prepared.

I've got 2 more weddings on the chopping block, and I know that they have progressively gotten better. This last one I did should be a blast to edit. I had a camera stabilizer and I was running all over the place.

what kind of tripod and stabilizer?

well for this video, i only had my tripod - a bogen 503 head, and some bogen legs. cost about $500

for a wedding I just shot, but haven't edited yet, I got to use a stabilizer - can't remember the brand, but it seemed pretty generic. it worked nicely though.
