Wedding footage...

[Benny1414]

I am going to be shooting a friend's wedding this weekend (not for hire, I just plan on making it my wedding present to him), but I would still like to do a good job.

The problem is, I have never seen a wedding video before and am unsure of exactly what one would look like.

Does anyone who shoots weddings have sample or promotional footage available online? Or does anyone know where or how I could view a wedding video to get ideas?

I have a basic idea of what I would like to get, but it would be nice to see a completed video to help me visualize the finished product.

Thanks in advance.

A rough cut excerpt, uncolor corrected of a wedding I did.

Do you have the TLC Channel. Watch "A Wedding Story" as much as possible. I use to be addicted to that "A Dating Story, A Wedding Story, A Baby Story" stuff. But I always wanted them to make "A Conception Story." I'm sure FOX will eventually make it.

Here's a sample from a company based out in CANADA. I think they have some execellent samples.

I really liked that - quite unique for a wedding company.

Though it's overly obsessed with the animation and motion graphics and I think that hurts the piece - no offense, but the square thing is hideous.

I love the butterfly animation in the beginning.

The boxes need to go though

How long is a typical finished product?

e

45 min to 1 hour for tight and stylized weddings that take a week to edit.

80min to 2 hours for realtime, security cam, snoozefests that take a day to edit.

uh flyerland, how many cameras did you have? I see...maybe, 5 different angles! Are you some high profile wedding shooter?
and i hope that is a very rough cut because it was very jumpy. maybe it was the way the speaker was talking too, very animated, but those cuts were all over! :undecided

Wedding was near the airport - plus the rabbi mentioned it, so I popped a shot in. And yes it's a rough cut. Here's a full version
