Probably should have started this during production, but I'll just recap.
Octane Pistols of Fury is a crime comedy web series. Set in the dark New York underworld, competing gangsters rough up lackies and goons, trying to get their hands on a crime boss' beloved mysterious porcelain Buddha.
Summer 2009: We (co-creator Greg Stees and I) created the concept and outline for the pilot. I wrote up the script, and we shot the bulk of it in one day. Shot on the HVX200 (a few pickup shots on the HMC150), lit with basic Arri light kit (650, 300, etc). Extensive use of fog machine. Pilot episode ended up being 3.5 mins.
Winter 2009/2010: Worked on outlines and scripts for 3 more episodes, each centering on different characters, but all within overarching story line. Episode run times range from 3 to 5 mins each
Winter/spring 2010: Next 3 episodes are shot simultaneously. Same camera, light setup. Most scenes are interior, a few are exterior. Episodes
Summer 2010: Official selection in Independent TV Festival in LA. Screened twice, Winner of Best Comedy and Best Web Series.
Official selection in New York TV Festival (please come see it). September 20-25, will post screening times when they become available.
March 2011: Launched on the web.
Wanted to share this with DVXUsers since I've read a lot of good info here. Built a Zaza slider (wasn't quite ready, ended up using it in one shot)
