SHORT: Web Series - new preview - I Am What I Am

I could not get myself to believe anything the guy in the mask said -- he's not a good actor (at all). Voicing a simple monologue like that is basic stuff.

The image looks great though - Really like the lighting and the composition. I'm no sound expert but the audio came across as pretty sweet as well.
 
Isn't that the point? He's the everyday kind of guy who represents the fact that anyone could be a serial killer. Maybe he's someone you picked on in middle school who grew more cold and emotionless with each and every swirley. Maybe he's the guy who had his heart broken 1 too many times. Maybe he's the successful businessman who made the wrong decision and lost his job.

Sounds great, looks amazing. Good job, Pegleg.

I've never watched dexter but from what i hear dexter is the good guy you are cheering for, that is not the case in this series. and the acting isn't suppose to be over dramatic and full of emotion, its suppose to be dull and emotionless

I never said the acting was dull and lacked emotion :-) I just said it wasn't credible. What I meant was the guy clearly fails to deliver his lines in a way that sounds natural, and not as if read from a piece of paper. However, I won't judge the acting from (in my opinion) his lack of monologue skills - I imagine some actors might feel awkward in that sort of situation, but perform better in others.
 
Good usage of the cutaway, abrupt, terrifying.

I agree. I wanted more depth to the character, but I think he has a strong foundation.
