Hello all.

We are launching a new web series tonight with the release of the pilot episode.

Can be found here:

Feel free to spread it around if you enjoy it.

There is more to come in the near-ish future.

peas.

I liked that. Specially the use of the darkly beautifull Monscheinsonate. I have been carrying that tune with me for a long time, wanting to combine it with something like this.

I have shared it with my friends (5 seconds ago, so I don't know wether or not that's appriciated, haha).

Everything's appreciated! Send it off to friends and family if you like it. Definitely more to come.

Thanks Anomie,

Glad you liked it. And it is much appreciated that you spread it around.

109 views and you guys have nothing to say? Come on! Give us something...love it? hate it? want us to stop in our tracks? The silence is killing us!

Will talking about what lenses we used and what equipment we had available make this a more interesting thread?

Nice use of music. I have to admit it was effective. Made me flinch in places. So good job. Don't know what to expect from the series but would likely watch again as I want to know what happened to the girl.

Thanks, great to hear. Will definitely update as new episodes are shot and edited. We'll likely be creating a Youtube channel as well, so look forward to that.

I'm not sure you told me enough in the pilot to interest me in the series. I can certainly say that if this didn't come from someone on this forum I probably wouldn't give it another look based on the pilot, again due to lack of story. But I am going to watch another episode or two before I make a proper judgement.

I was a little thrown by the girl's ability to get around after the three blows to her foot. Based on the force he used, I would have expected the bones in her foot to be shattered and subjected to debilitating pain. Another thing was that when we meet the girl she is "gagged" with tape, I suppose so she won't be heard by people at the party. But then he never puts the tape back on when he leaves. I'm thinking that it never needed to be there in the first place.

From a purely technical standpoint, I found nothing objectionable and it was certainly as good or better than a lot of things you see. In fact the opening scene with the chains, work lamp and girl tied to a chair were very well done.

I'll subscribe to this thread so I can see how the web series progresses.

Thats quite useful to know;

We approached this opener as kind of 'hook' leaving a lot of details open before we delve into the story. I had a feeling that this might be too light on details to keep the random internet denizens coming back for subsequent episodes, vs people that see it via special interest site like this.

The story is very much character driven from here on out and I hope will keep people guessing and wanting to know more and see where we go.

Loki, Kegan-- I was on my way to posting here but Blaine literally summed up what I thought.

Pretty nice under budget constraints. Looking forward to seeing where you guys take it and will check it out.

I agree with Blaine on the foot, tape cassette and just overall direction. I'm sure the feedback will goad the direction to step it up a notch, just to catch these things.
