The Weather Channel was setting up for a shoot in one courtyard of one of the newest downtown office buildings in Charlotte, NC, yesterday, and they were using at least one DVX.

Re: Weather Channel Using DVX100
I work for a production company in the southeast. We shoot Sony HD and Betacam. When the weather Channel booked us for a shoot recently, they required a DVX100. We did not have one so they supplied theirs. Cool camera but the small tripod screw hole would not fit our tripods. We had to rig it. The shoot looked so good that I bought a DVX100a for myself. I can't wait to use it more professionally.

Don't know why they would, but they might. But if not, also keep in mind that in addition to its outstanding 24p capabilities, it's the best damn 60i camera in its class, too.
