Way does nobody pay attention to the Sony NEX7?

The reason in probably that this camera is not allover available. I got one with the 18200 zoom lense an an 2,8/16mm pancake. further on I have adapters to use my Canon lenses and old Pentax lenses.
I own the 5D MK II and the GH2 and I must say, the Sony is much more comfortable as the GH2 and has a significantly better Photoquality than the GH2 and is close to the 5D MKII. For Film purposes its similar to the GH2 but better to handle and with more DOF and it has with 50p a real slomo, which looks very nice. I forgot: Its not a bargain buy....

Check the EOSHD review, about the Nex7 for video and he compared against the 5D MKII and the GH2. I use the Nex5n and sure i will change to the Nex7.

They are also currently impossible to get, as the Thai floods wiped out the factories that make some critical parts for the whole NEX line.

Not true, in the UK at least. The NEX7 bodeis are readily avilable and we sell a LOT of them. What are not available are the lens kits with the specific NEX7 lenses (though most stores will break up a kit for you).
