Wavy image on playback with Panasonic G6 with portrait lens

Hello,

Perhaps I'm on the wrong forum and you'll have to forgive that I am new to the forum world but I've just started using a Panasonic G6 and I've noticed a weird wavy affect in playback on some of my footage.

I thought it could be a stabilisation issue on the camera but I used a portrait lens and so I did not have the option to turn off the image stabilisation. It was a really windy day when I shot but it also happens when using it hand held indoors.

Another shot indoors using a tripod didn't have this effect so it seems to have happened with some footage but not others.

This was shot on a Panasonic G6 at 1080p, 24 fps using an Olympus 45m lens.

You're seeing what's known as "rolling shutter" The wind was blowing enough to make create it. Fast movement back and forth, Look up "rolling shutter jello" To fix it, next time sand bag your tripod to keep it from moving in the wind. The g6 is a wonderful camera by the way, one of y favorites.
