water on my Indislider Pro....

Recently bought a second hand Indislider Pro, loved it, very smooth.

Then while on my first shoot with it, somebody shakes a tree and a bunch of snow falls right on it... I dried it off as best as I could, then the next day used a soft cloth to dry it more but its just not the same.

When I try to drag the slider plate from one end of the slider to the other, it goes: slow -- fast -- slow, like it jerks in some places.

Is there anything that can be done to make it smoother? In the instruction manuel it says you shouldn't use any lubricants. Is there some that are maybe safe to use?

The slider still works fine but I just find it very hard to get smooth motion from one end to the other :(

As in taking the bearings out and putting them back in? Or taking out the screws and re aligning the square blocks that have the bearings in them?
