Fascinating fly on the wall footage of Spielberg watching the 1976 nomination announcements with some friends. I think it's tongue in cheek, but is ambiguous enough that Spielberg could be seen by some as just an arrogant douchebag. Funny nonetheless. And christ, where there any films nominated this year for best picture half as good as any of the 5 nominees here? I know every generation thinks the past was better than it actually was...but from where I'm sitting, there is little debate.

Wild... Good find. Somebody had to dig that up out of their archives. Also listen to all the great movies being announced for that years best picture.

LOL....I think he took it well (at least while he was on camera). That was his way of coping.

The one guy that was doing most of the talking...I recognize him from other movies I've watched (don't know his name though).

Wow, that is great. I don't know if it was JUST commercial backlash.... more of commercial backlash mixed with... by such a young director.

That was crazy seeing Joe Spinell. He was in some great '70's movies. I liked him in "Godfather Part 2". "...Yeah, Senator, there were a lot of buffers...."
