Hi guys, I've just uploaded my latest no-budget indie Australian feature film 'The Least Damnedest Thing' to Vimeo.

Here's the link: http://vimeo.com/18601719

When I saw a fortnight ago that Vimeo was now allowing full-length features to be uploaded, I thought I'd bite the bullet and just get it out there.

The movie was made for around $500 US and was shot on a HV20 with RR M2 and Contax Zeiss primes. It's my third finished indie feature, and runs for 83 minutes. Basically, I've been making them since 2004 with the plan to generate output and learn as much as I can until I make one good enough to actually 'launch' properly. I've always thought it'd probably take four or five features to get there, so I'm about two away from my 'real' first feature. It's really tough making features with basically no money, but I've learned so much up to this point just trying to actually get projects finished and as good as they can possibly be. At this point I've done one pretty much every two years, and this one is probably the first that I'm happy enough with to actually show people. I started work on it in 2009 and finished in November 2010. I uploaded the trailer here at DVXUSER back in June and got some great feedback, thanks.

Hope you enjoy it! Would love to hear your feedback and would be very thankful if you could share the link with anyone you think might be interested in it.

Thanks guys!

How come not available for download? I'd rather watch it that way than on Vimeo personally.

excellent work, Great framing, dialogue, very natural and convincing actors. This is the real deal!!! love it so far. Will let you know what I think of the plot after I finish.

Ian-T - I set available to download to on, so you should be good to go for it! Hope you dig it!

lawriejaffa- Thanks for the congrats man, hope you like it, looking forward to hearing your feedback.

maranfilms- thanks so much for the compliments man. Means a lot! Hope you like it in the end ;D

It starts good...so that's good

Dialogues seems ok...only when he goes away "So what are you wearing at the wedding ?" That phrase sounds as he's not there anymore...and that's ok

But... when he's in frame...he also sounds like he's...away...while he's there... I think he's boomed to much behind.... better was at the side.

The walking is more disturbing... because of the low sound...Some EQ (low cut) can help

Watch for A R T I C U L A T I O N.. 'you're ready to go ?" , it's not very understandable....

And there's no...sound.... I mean like...city sounds, shopping people, outside cars, some horns...a dog...a cat.... Ambience sounds that make it more alive

Cheers again for the feedback Ian-T and honored to have you check it out!

Thanks for taking the time to comment dre83, and cheers for the advice- audio not being my strongest suit, it's great to get feedback from someone more experienced and knowledgeable.

Hi guys. The movie is up to 390 views! Thanks so much to everyone who's downloaded/watched the movie!

I used a RedRock Micro M2 35mm adaptor on the front of the HV20. Settings wise, I shot using cinemode, a custom color setup with everything turned to it's lowest setting, and used the manual exposure trick on each shot to set my exposure.

If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask!
