Hey folks - I'm the guy who bought the jib (someone turn down that applause light please ...). Sounds way better than the deal I'd just finished. AND - it's even real!
 
Hey John! Don't listen to the stuff on this thread.... Jim was just reliving a bad moment. If you watch Spymaster... the 3rd shot of the film... as the van turns the corner. That is a jib shot that Jim had to run for me. It was a WINDY day (as you can clearly see) and I didn't have everything tightened down (first day with the jib!).

Jim was BATTLING to keep the jib straight and steady. (we had several takes and this is the best one we got. That will tell you just how bad the other ones were! :grin: )

But, as I stated in the actual marketplace listing... the jib is indeed not perfect. It is a sub-$500 jib (for $325)... not a $1000+ jib. It is fun to use and I am delighted that you bought it. (Especially after the story of the FAKE listing you got suckered into. I am glad that story DID turn out alright.)

Don't worry about it, I am absolutely not expecting anything other than what it is, and it will do nicely for the near term and the shots I have planned for it. I'm sure it will take me a few days working with it closely to produce something smooth.
 
I do have to say, (as I have told you), I am really a bit sad to see this go. It was my first jib (sniff) and it is so versatile. I will never be able to operate the JonyJib inside of my van. THAT was a very cool feature.

I know that you will enjoy it until you pass it on to someone else.
