:thumbsup: I was home all day with nothing to do, and lately have had NO inspiration and no motivation. Today I tried to change that. I just tried to make something. So I came up with this in about 2 hours. It's very lame, but that's what I was shooting for :huh: I guess. Just something to spark my creativity.

It wasn't funny but the laugh tracks made me laugh... shows how we've been conditioned by sitcoms
 
that's what i mean by lame. Its kinda funny becuase the laugh tracks are so lame. lol
 
That was great/funny in a weird/not funny but at the same time it is funny, sort of way :)
If there is a sequal to that try to put in a lot more jokes, this one just left me wanting more jokes. Time well spent.

obviously just kidding. I have a sound library so I used some samples from that and it seemed to work well. I will try to make another with a lot more jokes. Very soon though, a friend and I are going to start actually shoot some good stuff. We both have been saying, ' yeah we should do this' but that should never happens. So I have to push my self and he does too, into taking some action. I will post them and they are done. Thanks for the comments.

Pretty cool. I think just the idea of dead-pan alien comedians is funny in and of itself. I smell an Adult Swim Cartoon Network series, here.
 
Yeah, the whole thing was a spur of the moment thing, just took like 2 hours to do. I was just a crazy idea. The voiceover was done in a text to speach program. I didn't think it would have had the same effect if I would have done it.... I wanted some sort of alien voice and I was tryhing to think how to do it. The text to speech voice thing sounded good plus it had the ' wierd almost correct ' pronunciation; sort of alien like. So that worked.

I'm actually working with a friend on writing a new comedy. Comedy is really hard, but I thought we'd give it a shot. Hopefully this will be something cool. It will be based on our experiences working at a specific place ( trying to keep it under wraps ) , and no it's not a lame office space rip off. haha

With the explosion of the internet, it seem a lot easier to get stuff out there. We figure that, instead of trying to write script and get an agent and trying to sell it, we will shoot a pilot, then get a few clips out there and then shortly there after put out the first episode. Well see if we can create some sort of buzz. Then if we DO get a pretty good buzz going, we will start making more and see where it takes us. I think we have some good ideas so maybe this will work.

Watch out reflex, if your stuff is pretty good which it was, those people that you send it to might try to take it and run with it themselfs. Get your stuff copywritten, it only takes about $30 and is well worth it. Now clean up your room and eat your vegatables :)

LOL Yes definately. That will be all taken care of in advance before the stuff hits the public. :thumbsup:

My room/ apartment IS clean. :cheesy:

I have no vegatables to eat since my fridge is bare. :laugh:
