Warranty Void Question

I have a design to fasten the firewire on the HVX200, but need to know if using an exsisting screw on the camera voids the Warranty. Or even temporarily replacing it will.

The screws I am talking about is located above the firewire/headphone jack and below on the battery side.

My 1 year factory warranty has already expired , so I am only inquiring for those who may possibly interested in my design.

If using these screws will indeed void the cameras warranty , then I will not publicly share it .

I have no idea if it would void the warranty or not, but why not share the idea anyway. There's plenty of us with out of warranty cameras that would like to know, and probably plenty of others who don't really care too much about the warranty anyway.

I guess I could share it, but I myself need to atleast know if it will void the warranty or not so I can do a caveat write up. Warning people should be a responsible thing to do.

People might not care but at the least should have an acurate knowledge of the warranty policy before they attempt such mod.

I will be machining this bracket this weekend and should have the actual photo by next week.

Untill then I can PM a link of a 3d model of the design. Just picture a FWS-01 with attaching brackets.

This is a free design for anyone to make, but if you make money off of it please dont call it FWB or firewirebracket .
