WARRANTY questions

Hello all,

I have used the DVX100A in my school for several short projects, and this summer will be purchasing a DVX100B for a trip to Sri Lanka. I want to make sure I'm covered in case anything happens to my camera while I'm there, including dropping it. Can someone direct me to Pansonic's warranty/extended warranty plans for the DVX100B? I want to find out if its better to get extended homeowner's insurance or extended warranty. Thanks!

I dropped my DVX100A and it was not covered by the factory warranty or the additional Mack warranty I bought because it was accidental damage. It costed me $876.00 to get it repaired. They had to replace my power board and backplate.

Yes warranty does not give you accident insurance. You may need to insure your item seperately from homeownere... there was someone on this board awhile back stating he had an accident thought he was covered and as it turned out wasnt...... Make sure you check the details carefully.

Or use American Express to buy anything.
