Does the 5D suffers from the same overheating problems the 7D seems to have. Here are 2 comments I got from another forum. One from a 7D and the other from a 5D/

<At first, I had no problems with this, but today it's finally happened for the first time. I was in a room around 75 degrees F, and it overheated in less than ONE MINUTE. No exaggeration. It keeps happening too. Never Ever had this before and I've had it ever since Mid-October.... I wonder if I'm going to have to send it to Canon or something. I basically got it for video to.>

i've been shooting continuous 12min takes for 6 hours straight in direct sunlight this summer swapping out cards and batteries without a single hickup.
at noon the sun was pretty much hard to bare on exposed fair skin but the camera did a fine job. it seems to be 7d specific
