I've searched for an answer to this question, but was unsuccessful.
I tried cleaning DVX lens with newly purchased Optex cleaning fluid and cleaning cloth, taking care to apply a little fluid to the cloth and rotating the cloth very gently clockwise, from the centre, around the lens. The problem is that the fluid has left streak marks on the lens. Please tell me there's a way to remove these streaks. Why would the cleaning fluid leave these marks? What have I done wrong? Any help is much appreciated.

I would suggest your cleaning fluid has dried on the lense and thats what the streaks are. Try giving it a wipe again.

Personally I use a purpose made soft cloth. First I blow away any debris, dust, hair etc with a small dry football pump. Then use the cloth to to wipe the lense. Unless it gets some kind of liquid soilent on it there should be no need to clean it with a fluid.

Thanks for your help boys. Apparently I've used the wrong cleaner and damaged the lens coating. I should have used a multicoated lens cleaner. I've been told the only thing I can do now is use a good cleaner to get it consistent.
