I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Jason Miller is a "vendor" to be avoided at all costs.
I bought a device he calls "The Box" which is a cabled remote control for the HVX. He advertised it as a professional unit...one he built, but he claimed it was better than Bebob's work.
What arrived is so far from what was promised my staff laughed. The pots don't ever stop, they spin 360 degrees. The wiring is shoddy. Each wire is randomly cut at wildly long lengths, is improperly soldered in place and has massively long and clumsy pieces of electrical tape wrapped around them to disguise how poorly they've been assembled.
Jason has laughed off any attempts to resolve this. He's rude, condescending and constantly sarcastic...speaking to him on the phone, it was clear he didn't want to resolve the situation. He kept speaking about how I should have sympathy for the fact that he's currently injured and needs the money to pay his bills. I'd be happy to buy more products if they were professionally assembled!
Then, to make matters worse, I finally tested the thing. I didn't bother testing it before because the workmanship was so poor I knew I didn't want it. But, after he refused to resolve the matter, laughed about how the check had already cleared and said he didn't really care what DVXusers thought about him I decided I better plug it in and try it...
...it doesn't even work! It works intermittently. Two of the pots clearly have intermittent connectivity because they'll work then stop then start up again.
Do not buy from Jason Miller. He'll promise you a professional product, then his story will change in a dozen ways "It's DIY...what did you expect?" "I'm injured...you need to have sympathy for my broken leg." "Hey, maybe you're too dumb to plug in a single cable." "What do you know about electrical wiring? That's how professionals assemble things all the time!"
Looks like I took one for the team...so learn from my mistake. Run, don't walk, away from this con man!
