SHOOT FOR THE CUT - learning DVD about DVX100:

I placed a credit card order with
Digital Media Training
http://www.digitalmediatraining.com/products/panasonic/index.html
aka Magnet Media Films
www.magnetmediafilms.com

And I havent heard from them for many days. Emails to them bounce.

So naturally I am getting worried. I have to check my credit card tonight and hopefully things will be ok. I might have to block it though.

Just wanted to warn other potential buyers of this. I will get back with more info as I have it.

Best regards,
LLD

Hey Draccan, sorry to hear that.
I have bought Barry's book and I think that is enough if you want to learn how to operate the DVX properly.

Already bought Barry's book too, but I havent received it yet. But it is held back in Danish customs due to they want 25% tax, so THAT one is one its way... ;o)

Can't even cancel my order for the DVD as all their emails are down. I guess I should try call them...

25% tax, my gosh it would seem that Danish country's economy is similar to the UK's i.e. almost built in tax :)

don't breath they may just start taxing that too.

P.S

dont want to alarm anyone but, I would be very worried about the futures world economy, America's economy may collapse soon... and the worlds economy is connected, wether directly or indirecly to America's dollars, YEP we are all truley stuffed.

Best course of action is buy real material, land, metals, gold..

Hey Draccan,

Sorry to hear that. I received mine in the UK and I didn't have any problems with that.
In fact, yesterday I just received the Broken DVD and I didn't have to go to the post office to pay any customs.
I remember once I had ordered some DVDs from amazon.com and for that I had to pay customs. But that was the only time.
I have been ordering stuff from the States, and I don't have to pay any customs.
Maybe I am lucky, I don't know.

Yea I finally got the thing. They added an extra fee to charge me the tax, and the fee was like 8$ - can you believe that? So incl 25 percent it was like 32$ extra I had to pay.

In Denmark there is 50% tax on what you earn and if you really earn a lot it goes up to 66%. Seriously. It's insane, but at least we get paid to study (about 800$ pr month in six years), university is free, health care is free etc etc..

Concerning USA I agree and disagree. I believe a lot of us Europeans, incl. me are very sceptical about the US economy right now, but we have to remember that as expensive as the war in Iraq is it is still only 2 % of the country's BNP. There is no doubts that Bush has thrown the country out in a lot of debt, but at the end of the day it will take a lot more to break the country's finances.
If any terrorists will get their hands on a nuclear device and detonate it in New York or Washington or even just in London, England it could throw the world economy into crisis of untold proportions. Lots and lots of serious people believe it is just a matter of time before Al Queda will get their hands on a nuclear device, so this is what the US should worry about.

The money spent on Iraq could have been spent on getting clean water for everyone on the planet. It might even have costed less. And in the long run it would have helped the security of America to have done that... Bush have made the world incl. the economy so unstable like no other "democratically" elected president or leader before him.

So while I agree in part with your dystopic views, I think the final katalysator for the disaster to be more than a question of inflation or bad American economy.
Again, just one more natural disaster like New Orleans or one serious terrorist attack on the USA could push them a little over the edge. Unfortunately.

Um..er...didn't you just say you paid 50-66% of your income for that "free" university & health care?

Oh, and that's whether you go to university or get sick, or not, right?

Well I am not certain it is a perfect system. But for the high tax there is pension, healthcare, a reasonable income for unemployed ... it's the welfare system. Hate it or love it, but we dont have the same insane poverty as in many other countries incl. the USA.
The whole point is that even if you get sick as you said you still get paid with free hospitals and monthly income...

66% is only for the very well paid. It's a gradual system. Personally I never earned so much. You have to be a top manager or something..

Anyway I am the last person to defend everything about our taxes or prices.. :-/
But I am a fan of a system that equalizes incomes and ensure free universities and health care. I studied six years and appreciated getting paid enough to live on my own..

Not to say this isn't an interesting discussion, but let's try to avoid political discussion on the forums. Thanks.
