War short, grabs

Shot a not-so-planned war short today, like I usually do.:Drogar-Smoke(DBG):

Anyways, the footage turned out quite nice, so thought I'd share some grabs with my fellow DVXusers. This was shot with the DVX only, and no accessories. Edited in Vegas 6.0.

Oh, and it's been a while since I posted some real grabs. Just to inform you all, MiniMan is still quite small, I'm turning 16 in a month now. :laugh:

Is this a war film or a film about a war/conflict that you created for the sake of the film.

The spade on the helmet looks like a reference to Band of Brothers and the US Airborne. The uniforms also seem like WWII, but some of your rifles contemporary.
 
woah, pretty specific criticism :) nice to have knowledge huh?

as always, i love your grabs, and more so that you always uprez which somehow gives it this grainy film like feeling ot them. Your color grading techniques get better and better.

i would love to see some original grabs pre CC'ed

I created the war/conflict for the sake of the film. So there is nothing historically correct here. All of the uniforms are Norwegian modern military uniforms, and the helmets are old-school Norwegian ones, produced in Norway and literally the same as the U.S forces used a while ago.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, I'll see if I'm not too lazy to put up some untouched grabs soon. :)
 
Great location, and the second grab looks alot like old film. I really dig your costumes - always impressed that you're not even 16 yet....Here i am turning 17 soon and i don't have much to show for it
