Check out the Video Traxx Volume 2 from Digital Juice. There's an entire disk of wartime footage. It goes as far back as Civil war looking to maybe as new as Vietnam.
EDIT: After looking at their page, they seem to have removed it in the past 2 weeks or so. I'm not sure who would be selling theirs. Ebay?

Yep, pretty much any war.
Hudson, I should send you the script for the short that I'm shooting, I know you'd dig it.

This is not what your looking for but maybe if you dug a bit into it, who knows.
There are also a few military guys around here so I'm sure something will pop up.

Again, you may have to dig a bit to get the original footage, and I doubt it's hi-def, ect, but it's real, so, just tossing it out there. Maybe if you enquired a little at the site, I don't know.

http://www.buyoutfootage.com/pages/subtops/pd_militaryhistoric.html has some good war footage, it is cheap and cleared. Mostly from LOC sources but they HAVE it and it's ready to go.
Library of Congress/National Archives has tons but getting it means either hiring a service in Washington DC or going there yourself or a lot of phone work.
