Wanting to trade HV20 plus Nikon DSLR for DVX

I just wanted to post this up.. Just to see if there was any interest. I'll probably get flamed or something. I made this post on the local Craislist site but I don't see many people with these camera's even being on there often since Iowa isn't to big.

I was wanting to do a possible sell/trade of the following.

Canon HV20 with Rode VideoMic (mono) etc and a Nikon D50 DSLR with a couple lenses and other accessories.

I know this is far fetched anyone would be interested but I figured I would desperately give it a try lol. Also, Don't get me wrong, I love the HV20. I just feel held back with it's lack of Manuel controls and other stuff. I don't' use DSLR anymore so I figured maybe if I packaged them with all the accesories I have for them then maybe I could find someone interested and attempt to upgrade my camcorder.

I am wanting to trade for a working but used DVX100b. or possibly another used Pro-sumer camera. Or I could sell it all if I could find a used DVX for the same price then use that money to buy the DVX.

I am in Iowa but could travel to surrounding states as needed since I understand the only safe way to do a trade would be in person. If I was to trade instead of sell for money.

Here is the full list:

Canon HV20 High Definition Camcorder (3 months old still under warranty). With Rode mono videomic(less then 2 weeks old), 43mm Hood. and all original accessories like battery, firewire cord etc. (including all original boxes for Rode Mic,Camcorder)

Nikon D50 DSLR camera with all accessories, including original boxes for everything but the lenses,

Comes with a Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX zoom lens, and a Tamron 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 LD Tele-Macro(1:3.9) lens

Nikon Camera bag, 2 battery packs for Nikon D50

Below is a picture of the HV20 (even though everyone knows what one looks like anyway) I can provide pictures of anything if anyone wants to see. or if anyone needs any more info just let me know

The only real blemish with the HV20 is that I had to remove the back plastic cover that covers the firewire port and I had to remove the little rubber cover that go's over the side mic jack because I could not get them to remove far enough away while still attached to connect stuff to. I might still have the little rubber covers somewhere though.

The DSLR has no blemish's and is in perfect condition. as are all lenses. Everything has been cleaned by an authorised Nikon dealer locally only.

Would you be interested in trading/paying the difference for an HVX200? I have one with 2 8 gig p2 cards which has hardly been used. Funny because i was thinking of selling it to get a DSLR and maybe a cheaper small palm cam for when I need a camcorder, which has been rarely since i thought I had to buy the HVX.
Thanks,
Steve

What price difference are we talking?.. My wife just had a kid so money has been a short commodity lately. Would love the HVX200 though.

I don't know what your "stuff" is "worth". Looking at prices for HVX's right now I was thinking it and the 2 p2's are worth something like 4500-4800?

Yeah. That is probably more then I would be able to come up with unfortunately.

Main reason I am even wanting to trade off this is because with my situation now I know any other way I won't be able to afford the 1500-2000 for a DVX or another prosumer now or in the near future. Ideally, I would keep everything and just save up but I know I won't be able to do that for a long while now..

Okay, good luck with the new baby and all. If you hit the lottery send me a PM or something. If I sell the HVX I'll drop you a note to see if you still might want to sell your stuff.
Thanks,
Steve

If I can't get rid of it all or find a trade for everything then I will probably just keep the HV20 otherwise it will leave me with no camera at all. The only reason I even considered selling the HV20 is in hopes of packaging it with a DSLR and maybe finding someone so I could upgrade it.

Sorry.

I knew it was a long shot but I figured I would give it a try anyway you know. I'm still happy with the HV20 if need be though.
