Want some more frame rates?

My question is - how does that affect the image you can see on the LCD/EVF? Does it brighten up when you shoot at 2 fps?
Oh yes. It does exactly what you'd expect; at 2fps/180 degrees it's like turning on the light.

Can you still use zebras and all that stuff?
Yep.

How do you create a Scene file for the sd card?
Just save the scene files from the camera. Go to the CARD FUNCTIONS menu, then save the scene files. It'll create the scene file document on your SD card.[/quote]

i think Barry he was asking if he could edit it in camera.

Write means save on the camera, not write as in enter info.

You need to use a text editor, and it doesnt need to be on a PC or mac. if your in the field, you can use a pocket pc to read the text file from the SD card, edit it with the pocket pc text editor, then put it back in the camera.

Maybe this is the much needed catalyst that will breathe some life into the new Scene Files section of the forum. That place still has the new car smell!

Wow.. I go out all day. come back and look what new discoveries and new toys are out there....

I've been dreaming of doing some nightime timelapses of the Moon with trails and cars and whatever.

This is why this forum rocks and this camera kicks the living crap out of anything else out there. Ho hum to everything else! Ya can keep ya Canon and box of steaks... JVC and fuzzy ear muff. I want the cam that keeps on changing.. updating... evolving.

So, now I'm gonna have to buy an SD card so I can mess with this....

Any official word from Panny on this? Barry and Jared... so when is the Queen of England granting you a knighthood? I think it's long overdue.. and highly suspicious if you ask me...

Long live the hackers... And yes, how did he figure out how to hack this?

definite vote for me.. dude is the smartest mofo I know and he amazes me.. and the panasonic engineers each and every day.

But what really is cool is how many genius members we also have that just seem to randomly have enlightened moments to figure this stuff out.

You betcha.

Jarred, I was actually thinking of you for VP (or Scarlett) until Justyn mentioned this getting shot stuff . . . they still carry guns down there don't they buddy? Heck I hear Bush is the governor there too . . . how the hell did he pull that one off, no wonder he won the recount <kidding>.

So I think I'm going to go with Justyn for VP . . . how'd you feel about Secretary of State?

[OT] really, but nevertheless:
If you are talking universal PAL/NTSC cams (it's not just a matter of frame rate, you know), then Sony <cough, cough> might be your friend; they are about the only company that has been pioneering in this field.

You forgot to mention Canon (XL-H1) and JVC (HD100) also offer 24/25P in their models....

I was talking about PAL/NTSC not 24P vs 25P; but yeah, the Canon allows 50i with optional upgrade, so that IS pretty cool too. And the HD100, yes, you are correct.

We will get to a universal format, or at least to universal cams that can do both eventually; like they say: It won't happen overnight, but it WILL happen!

Thanks Barry - the sparkles are from planes, they are also from a spotlight a few miles away at the Wiltern Theater, shining into the clouds - I shot that at 3fps with a 350-degree shutter - haha, this new trick is like getting a crazy free upgrade, now hopefully my camera won't burst into flames..I can't see why it wouldn't effect it

Man i wonder how many people went out tonight and shot thier street with this new bonus feature :)

I'm one of them. I've got a 5 day vacation starting tomorrow, and imagine what I'm going to do? EXACTLY :)
