yeah whatever, what's the big deal about a 100+mph wheelie? or a 200+mph sprint? check out my posts on stickypod, then ask yourself, "where have I had my dvx lately?" Wild Imagination Films
Hyabusa's are pretty awesome bikes. Capable of 200 mph out of the crate. But you don't see them on the track. (they don't turn for poop)
what's really amazing is how pedestrian 100mph looked after the little run up past 200.
I will say IMO I think the speedo is way off. Speed sence comes from the front sprocket so any gear changes will result in higher reading. My little ol' 600 with one down read 165 but was really only 142 (GPS)
speedos suck! mine reads 189 but reality check was for 168. you'd think they could have fixed speedo error by now.
Mikko, please don't ever say anything similar to what you said just now again. Thanks, "Wheelieum" (my brother's nickname for me)
I wonder how many sportbike riders we have in here? I had an R1 for years... fully tricked out. (Carbon fiber wheels anyone? But don't get 'em! They are slightly porous and you're always airing up!)
Yeah the speedo thing is the oldest trick in the book... just as Hunter says... there are a lot of posers when it comes to fast bikes.
I topped my R1 out frequently... I had it droning off the limiter and it registered 179... with stock gearing it was probably around 171. 1 tooth off the front and I got a fake numbers close to 190.
If you've never experienced something like that I can tell you that it bends your perception on things... it's like, "Whoa is that a cop?"... and then you slow down to 100+ and sit up like it's all cool... and you glance down expecting to see 55. D'oh! Brakes!
