wana build a PC to edit hmc footage

i have a wishlist on newegg that comes to $1400.00 I want you guys to look on it and tell me what u think, but i can't figure out how to make it public. there's a share button which i have tried...no go.

also...about how much is it there in the US to have a pc built if u supply the parts? I ask cuz i maybe there when i buy all this...so i cud just have it done there instead of shipping all these parts here and having my friend build it.

ok...so it comes to $1500. $300 over budget but i want sumthing that will last a while and can grow with...how does this look to you guys?

And whats the average cost of labour to build this at a local PC place in the US?

I sacrifice HD space for now....I will get more space in about 2 or so months ...I'm still using DV (dvx) so its not a prob. But i wanted sumthing that can run after effects and other effects things i may wan to get.

you guys think this is a decent build to grow in the future for my hmc ?

You could probably shave off a hundred bucks off bu changing the motherboard. I have an EVGA X58 SLE LE.

You pwer supply, while beefy, seems overpriced. I think I paid $79 CAD for my 750 watt PS. Mine is an ULTRA LSP 750 Pro.


Not sure about the meomory. I have the 1333 version of the same memory and the MB defaults it's speed at the next speed down. Seems to crash when at 1333. That could just be some odd issue with firmeware though.
 
thanks denwa. ur motherboard is actually more expensive. just by a few $ though ...i wonder if the link is showing the right thing...cuz sometimes it acts wonky goin to a different page. like it expires or sumthing. does it say Jambredz pc build? or maybe u are looking on the wrong price column. Its the list furthest to the right.

yeh i didnt wanna skimp on the power supply. my friend says this one is quite good.

Anyone can recommend a place to build this and the cost of labour to build this in the gainsville/orlando area?
