W2k Core 2 duo help

[kplo]

Hi All,
Posted this in Vegas forum...maybe wrong place.
Will my W2k SP4 OS recognize and use my soon to be built Core 2 Duo (E6600)
setup...or will I be forced to install XP?

Thanks for any help.

You should be fine, Windows 2000 supports Multi Core CPU's
You might have to do somthing like this

Windows 2000 is a great OS. I use it on my Dual Core X2 4400+ system, and it runs very well. Vegas 6.0 is working fine on it, as is Raylight.

Just thought I'd give you my 2 cents. Thanks for using a decent OS, rather than XP or Vista with their Product Activation...

It is a great os, but its 7 years behind, Not exactly cutting edge - But it works great on Editing only rigs.
