Voting possibiiities

I noticed as a "sub 100 poster" that the vote button is active. I didn't notice anyway to advance to the next film and clicked on it... and it stated I voted.

Later I noticed the "Show next film" link... but too late.

To make it fair... I gave EVERYONE the same rank = "10"... but I wondered if others with under 100 votes could skew the voting process, even ever so slightly.

Was wondering if there was a safeguard against such a thing?

OUCH ... good question. On the flip side, if they CAN skew it, hopefully they're at least giving quality/good judgement votes.

Back before it was launched, one of the mods mentioned that they could see how everyone voted, so as to keep things fair. Based upon that, it would be fairly simple to run a filter after the judging ends to eliminate any votes from people with less than a hundred posts (along with any duplicates, etc). So, I don't think you have to worry about messing things up.
