Voigtlander vs Zeiss any one had experience?

Hi I have never used Voigtlander glass and was wondering how it would compare to Zeiss.
I have a Nikon still FF and like the idea of using as many lenses as possible on the D3 & AF100.
Do you think you could mix the two and the colour be reasonably similar?
Hows the sharpness compare to Zeiss?
The Voigtlander's tend to be smaller, lighter and less expensive, but maybe they would be more difficult to work with a follow focus such as Redrock's?
12mm f5.6 Voigtlander Heliar, Leica Mount $799, or
15mm f4.5 Voigtlander Leica Mount. $549. or
15mm F2.8 Zeiss Leica mount $4600

20mm f3.5 Voigtlander Color Skopar Nikon mount $549, or
21mm f2.8 Zeiss ZF.2 Nikon mount $1732

25mm f0.95 Voigtlander MFT mount $895, or
25mm F2.8 Zeiss ZF.2 Nikon mount $1004

40mm f2 Voigtlander Ultron Nikon mount $409, or
35mm f2 Zeiss ZF.2 Nikon mount $1004

58mm f1.4 Voigtlander Nokton Nikon mount $409, or
50mm f1.4 Zeiss ZF.2 Nikon mount $725
Thanks for your feedback

don't discount actual Nikkor lenses. I have plenty of Nikon glass that I'll be using on the AF100.

Zeiss lenses with Canon mount in combination with the Birgen adapter is quite interesting if you want communication between lens and cam body like aperture control and focus confirmation.

If you intend to mix lenses...just do some tests first. Include a Grey scale and a color chart and maybe some skin tone.

I also have a set of some of the better than average Nikkors from early 1970 thru to late 1990s. (and a few of the more recent ones)

Primes 24mm,28, 35, 2x50, 55 macro, 105, 135mm (f1.4, f2, f2.8, f3.5)
Zooms 28-85, 35-70, 70-210

I tested them all for color parity / contrast and resolution.

All the primes were excellent (as if a matched set) . The zooms were a bit variable as one would expect.

I have the Nikon m4/3 aadapter and look foward to testing them all on an AF102 sometime soon.

Thats good to hear, maybe Nikkors are the way to go!
I am interested in the ;
14mm 2.8 Nikon $1389
25mm 0.95 Voigtlander Nokton MFT mount $895
40mm f2 Voigtlander Nikon mount $409
50mm f1.4 Zeiss ZF.2 Nikon Mount $725

i went with nikon due to price vs quality. bought 6 lenses all as wide as they can go, if i went zeiss i would maybe have two. through using the redrock adapter, nikon was liked a lot and i have heard comparable results between zeiss. a nikon kit will run you less than half a zeiss/voightlander kit with the same or similar results. i would say if you have the money, zeiss zf, but i would save the cash and look for great nikons before voightlander.

You should consider Zeiss Contax lenses. They have very long focus throws, excellent optics and focus in the "right" direction, unlike the Nikons.

Thanks Power Video, I would prefer to get lenses that I could also use on Nikon still cameras, but I will check them out.
