Selling my voigtlander 40mm f2 SLII. I actually prefer this version of the SLII because it has the rubber focus ring rather than the weird metal one. They are optically identical however. The rubber is very tactile is so easy to grip and smoothly pull focus.
I don't know what it is but this lens just has charmed me so much over past year or so. A true joy to use. I moved from my GH2 (which I used this on), and i'm moving to all manual focus canon lenses for my c100 for video work, and since this focuses in the nikon direction I gotta let it go. This was a near perfect lens on the gh2. Incredibly inconspicuous and compact, and a great focal length (80mm) on gh2, with a fast aperture. Sharp from f2 and only gets better and better as stopped down, love this lens.
This thing is so sharp, its what I use for product photos for most of the lenses I sell on here usually. The closeup filter that it comes with seems to have alot of internal dust, although I have used it recently and didn't notice the dust in my pictures. The lens elements on the actual lens are near perfect though, don't see any defects whatsoever. Comes with authentic voigtlander front cap, as well as voigtlander hood, and comes with a generic nikon end cap. I am also throwing in a vented lens hood that I purchased seperately that fits the lens.
