Does anyone have a list of US vendors (or vendors willing to ship to US), who are accepting orders/backorders for this lens?

Got mine today after one month of waiting. Will do some test shooting this weekend with this solid piece. Guess if you want it get in line. I got mine from a dealer in Germany - Fotofrey.

editman - how did you survive without it for so long!? LOL :)

It's a bit of a wonder really - I was very impressed. Managed to grab one last Nov (my first native M4/3 - only have PL & antique glass)... the near macro is great.

You'll have real fun with it!

Remember seeing on a thread somewhere that a lot more were supposed to be available Feb/Mar, so maybe supply is catching up with demand?

Put my deposit on one with CameraQuest on 2/8 did not get in on time for this months allocation.
Got an e-mail from PhotoVillage about a week later that they were in stock . . . called immediately, person I spoke to said they were sold out within 5 minutes.
(no great surprise).

Maybe next month (then again, maybe not) . . . happily waiting.

Luckily I had my Olympus zooms to play with ;) This is a great lens. Love it!

I had the mixed blessing of renting this lens from a colleague (who lives 800 miles away, so had to be shipped) for a instructional shoot. Shot in a working call center, actual employees in background had to be blurred. This, of course, was a cinch at .95.

What I didn't expect was how gorgeous the image was from just ambient light. Used a large window as key, kept their fluorescents, and it looks phenomenal (part of the credit of course goes to the AF100). The PROBLEM is now the client has ordered another one in the same style.

I had been on Cameraquest's waiting list with deposit for a while, but seemed to be pretty far down the list. The friend who rented it to me got it early from Photo Village and said that if you pay in full up front, you get the lens quickest. I should have followed his advice, as I got that same email dregenthal mentioned and I'm sure would have gotten the lens then had I pre-payed.

So I bit the bullet and got one on ebay for (gag) $1,350. It made more sense that to continue to rent long-distance, but was painful to pay that premium. If anyone in the Richmond VA area wants to rent it so I can make some of that back, let me know!

Kudos by the way to Stephen at Cameraquest for refunding my deposit within minutes of sending an email asking him to.

Not only that, it wouldn't work at all because the lens would have to be mounted almost an inch inside the 7D's body, due to the difference in flange focal depth between the 7D's EOS mount and the m43 mount. No way to make it work.
