Voigtlander 25mm/F0.95 Not Declicked

I bought this voigtlander to use with my AF100. I was excited to get the glass when I received the af100, so I did not do enough research and placed the order to buy the lens only to find out that it is not boxed decliked hence falls short of use for filmmaking. Can anyone please tell if it can be declicked easily? I have read mixed responses on the net. Some say it can be declicked by pulling the aperture ring (difficult though) and some said it cannot be declicked. Please share your experience. I am planning to have it cine-modded, any experiences - is it a good idea?

Pete, I don't have the 25mm, but I do have the 17.5mm Voigtlander. They designed the aperture ring so that you can turn it 180 degrees to get out of click mode. Turn it another 180 degrees, and you're back in click mode. You need to push the ring toward the camera before turning 180 degrees. Maybe your 25mm works the same?

P.S. -- Looking at the Voigtlander website, it seems that the 25mm doesn't have the "selective aperture control" feature.:embarasse So, don't try to force anything.

Your safe with Duclos lenses. They can manage that mod for you and add a good ring for focus. It's a great lens. You won't be sorry you bought it.
