Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 lens: Price difference

[take2visualmedia]

I know these lenses are back ordered but does anyone know why B&H is only charging $819 and everyone else is around $1199? If the $1199 got it to me sooner I could see spending more but don't all the retailers get them at the same time..i.e. when the factory sends them?

B&H is not a direct authorized reseller of Voigtlander gear. I have not seen B&H have them in stock at all. I got mine from Photovillage about a month ago. It was in stock On their website. Them and cameraquest are the two direct resellers in the US for Voigtlander products. They will get then first.

Thanks jburke. I was all set to order from Photovillage but I just wanted to wait to hear about B&H...you answered that question for me. Thanks again.

...To date B&H has never had stock, so their price is kind of meaningless until you can actually buy a lens from them. ( I've had this flagged for "Notify When In Stock" for 6 months now, with still no results )

In the end I ordered my lens from Photo Village at the beginning of April for $1199, and received my lens at the beginning of May.
