.VOB to .AVI

Anyone have any links to programs that converts DVD files .vob to .avi so i can import it in my NLE ?>
 
VLC will do this for you, and it's a very neat program for all kinds of conversions and playback of media files. Best of all, it's open source!

edit: my bad, it won't output to .avi, but you can output to .mov or mpeg and other formats

Cleaner can do the conversion i think, but it's not free. I would check look for DVD ripping programs. They should be able to do the trick.

Cinematize is a great program that I use, though I'm not sure if it extracts to .AVI

I think it's only options may be Quicktime and MPG2.
But if you can get from Quicktime to AVI - it's a great little program.

i downloaded it and extracted all the files. but there doesnt seem to be any program there...
