Anyone here do any VJing? If so what do you use? I tried Arkaos and it lagged the crap out of my laptop even with the thumbnail versions of my footage. I'm supposed to VJ the Cypress Hill/Lords concert this Halloween and I don't have program yet. :(
Anyone?

Also... what do you compress the video size to? Is it full rez DV stuff?

I used this stuff for a VJ gig a few years ago: http://www.resolume.com/
I'm sure things have come a long way and I dont' have a clue what else is out there, but it looks like this one has been keeping up based on their website.

What sort of VJing are you dooing? If it's a concert, isn't it going to be pre-prepared video to the screen?

No, its going to be live video mixing of whatever I make up even though I have no idea what the program for the night is yet. Should be fun, I havn't seen Cypress Hill since the Smoke Out tour.
I was just trying it out and it seems I can't use QT on the PC, I have to use avi or wmv in ArKaos and it has to be 640x480. Going back and rendering out some of the QT stuff I have at that rez to see if that works.
