Visual and Sound Effects Tools

Sure would appreciate any suggestions on some of the better, higher-end VISUAL and SOUND effects software/links to buy for FCP and AE.

I'm in the information gathering stage now and wanted to have the benefit of the great minds on this truly inspiring forum!!

So far, I've heard of Magic Bullet, Digital Film Tools and Trap Code. (Very limited and granted these are only visual effects ... not sound effects.) But hope to expand this list with your opinions.

Any thoughts, positive or negative regarding your personal experience with these programs would be nice to hear, as well.

Thanks very much!! :)
