Vista doesn't see Dvx100

I try connecting to my vista machine and it doesn't see my DVX100. No problem with xp. Is there a driver issue?

Is there a webcam because I used to have an issue on my iMac with the iSight and I needed to get a disabler script and now it works.

I'm try to just get it to recognize a camera conected in Vista, so I think it would be the native capture utility under Movie Maker.

I've also tried firing up PP CS4 to no avail, it the OS doesn't see it I apparently isn't seen by any app.
