FS7: Vintage lens meets Sony FS7

Thought it would be fun to see the Industar 26m - 5cm lens (f2.8) on my FS7. The flange distance of my EF bodies is too far but the emount is perfect. Bought a cheap m39 adapter from amazon and viola:

Thats actually pretty awesome. It's like the first time I saw a petzval on a modern camera and did a serious double take.

You definitely need to tell me what in the hell that massively oversized lens is called tho. That thing is absurddd and seems like it's barrel tripod mount is ineffective haha.

Any vimeo links to come of these in action?

Looks like the new Sigma 150-600 Contempory with hood attached.

Correct, it's the sigma 150-600. Just got it so don't have any samples to show yet. It's pictured there with a speedbooster which brings the lens to 3.5-4.5 I believe. With a smart adapter and 2x crop mode the lens becomes an 1800mm monster, which is amazing to experience especialy with OS.

Time will tell but so far it seems to fair decently well without rails/extra support. It's one of the reasons I got the contemporary over the sport version. The center balance of the rig is still under the camera so no need to mount it from the lens collar.

I'll have tons of footage of it during the summer (got it for summer camp videos, sports, etc.). I'll have to justify a good reason to use the industar 5cm. It's pretty soft wide open and is low contrast compared to my Sigma 50 Art. If I do any test shots I'll post it here or in the sample footage area...stay tuned.
