what is the best way to compress for vimeo using compressor? i posted this at vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/1306624. i know it's compressed, but it lost a lot going from 720p to the web, and i've definitely seen some video that looked better. should i just save as a quicktime movie?
 
thanks dm. i'm on fcs2. can you recommend the best default setting to use in compressor? it may be more obvious when i'm sitting in front of my computer with fc on it.

It looks like you've compressed your movie down to standard def... Vimeo allows you to upload footage at 1280 x 720, and plays it at full def on compatible computers. If you're having trouble with compressor, you might try exporting a Quicktime directly from Final Cut Pro using Quicktime Conversion. (I'm not sure what definition you're filming at; if the original was in 1080i, check the little box to remove interlaced frames). It should look crystal clear then when you upload the resultant file to Vimeo.
