VIGILANTES trailer - need suggestions!

My previous post had a busted link (don't know for how long) so I'm reposting with some changes to the trailer based on early feedback... Comments are definetly welcome... Please let me know if some shots are still too dark. This is a feature film looking to run about 100min.

Just a heads up. The story centers around a group of street kids, so I wanted the colors to be more defused and muted.

lol awsome outro line.

wow, the acting is actually good! :) i kidd i kidd, most of what we see here is not bad ( sigh )

but yeah i really enjoyed the acting. The visuals were great. Had no problems wit hthe framing but a bit with the lighting. Camera movement wasnt bad, love the shake but could have used a dolly shot here and there, some sort of smooth transition. But over all, sweet shiznad~!

Yeah, I liked the outro too! A lot of good shots throughout, how many shooting days?

Question, did the audio seem off in the opening scene (around :12) where the guy and girl are arguing about "get out of the car", it seemed like her lines were a lot louder and easier to hear.. or maybe it was just me?

Some good, some bad here. Some of the lighting was pretty cool, then alot of it was really boring. Is the film completed?

There is fine line of overacting and underacting, I feel that your actors either underacted to much or overacted to much. There was a line when the guy was saying something like "So leave we don't need you here!" it seemed like he could of put more anger into it.. It's all director choice though. Other than that... I don't know what is was about.. I didn't get it.

Hey guys...

The film is almost complete. one scene left to shoot and I'm about 85 percent done with the editing...

Shawn - I'll check out the audio in the beginning to see if anything is off....

Slimothy - I totally agree with you about the lighting issue...

I started this project almost a year ago. Because we did'nt have a budget, we pretty much had to work around our actors' work schedules... that's the main reason why it's taken so long... not to mention the fact that not one crew member that started out with us is around now...

When I started I knew absolutely nothing about filmmaking... honestly, not one person who worked on this project knew what they were doing when we started. I wrote 3 feature film scripts and decided to learn about the filmmaking process by using one of them.

Dvxers' posts and recommendations in terms of books is how I learned to run a camera, edit, light, do sound, titles, etc... I got everything pretty much right off this site. (obviously still learning)... I 'm looking forward to getting this film done, cause one thing I know for sure... I DO NOT want to run the camera again... Your guys' stuff blows me away... so i'd much rather stick with writing and directing.

All in all I believe my actors' preformances will more than make up for the flaws in the technical side of our production.

Thanks for your help guys.

Hey Legend... thanks for the feedback... I certainly wouldn't want anyone not to have any idea about what the movie's about after watching the trailer... I thought it was pretty concise without giving too much away.

Is anyone else not getting the gist of what the movie's about after having seen the trailer?

Thanks

I was not able to grasp what the story was about. The sound is not very good on my PC, but from a productions standpoint, it's damn good for someone that knew nothng when they started. Keep shooting.
