Viewing the HPX170 menu on my SmallHD DP1 monitor...is it possible?

Hey everyone. I have my DP1 monitor connected to my HPX170 via the supplied component cable and I was wondering if there's a way to view the menu from the HPX170 on the DP1 monitor?
Also, should I have the DP1 monitor set at Full Screen or 16:9 aspect ratio? Which setting would be more accurate? I'll be filming my movie in 720/24p.
One more thing, are there any other calibrations I should perform on my DP1 monitor besides the "Blue Color Temp" calibration in this video? Thanks.

In your display settings you want to turn on OSD out.

Not all (in fact few I believe) of the menus and information displayed on the LCD go to an external monitor.
