Viewing P2 cards on a computer

I'm new to the P2 system, so please bear with me...

I want to view the P2 video on my home computers, both my desktop and laptop. I don't think the computers will be able to run P2 Viewer.

Both have Windows Vista Home Premium. Is that the start of the problem? Will I need Vista Business?
My laptop has Intel Core2 Duo CPU with 2 Ghz., 3 GB RAM.
The desktop has AMD Athlon 64 X2 duo core, 2.6 GHz, 3 GB Ram.

Also, I'm looking to get an old laptop with a PCMCIA slot. What basic requirements will the computer need to download P2 files for later transfer? Can my laptop do it with an Expresss Card-PCMCIA adapter? Can it be fed directly from the 500 using a USB cable?

I don't see any reason why either of those computers won't be able to run P2 Viewer.

Pretty much any laptop with a 32-bit CardBus PCMCIA slot will do just fine for transferring footage from the P2 cards. But yes, you'd be able to use an adapter or use the 500 as a reader. Having the PCMCIA slot will be best, though.
