Viewing MXF files?

I capturing onto P2 - editing in Premiere CS4.
Is there any way, other than viewing the P2 footage from the cards with Pana P2 viewer, that I can re-label or give better descriptions of my footage for later identifcation?

That's what P2 Viewer is made for. Or you can use Adobe's metadata as well.

Thanks Barry, maybe I have a misunderstanding about the P2 viewer: my understanding of what the P2 viewier does is give you the ability to change the metadata on the card that it is reading?
What can I use, if anything, to read and alter the Metadata from the MXF files on the hard drive?
Adobe metadata - is this a program?

P2 Viewer can do that. Just use the hard drive directory as a virtual card.

Adobe has their own metadata that's used in Premiere and now in OnLocation. It's not the same as the P2 metadata. But if you were strictly staying in the CS4 environment you might find it to do what you want.
