ViewFinder

When looking in the viewfinder it seems like it's not using the entire LCD to view the footage, why is that?
Why can't it fill the screen? it is really small like this.

Also, why does this camera have a 4:3 LCD while it is intended mainly for 16:9 shooting?
Thanks.

My FX-1 which is 16:9 has most of the info superimposed over the image.
With the 150 [151,152] there is more information on the LCD so I like having the “dead” space above and below so I can see more of the image without the info all being superimposed.

My two cents.

But what about the Viewfinder? is it suppose to be like this because it is really small, a lot smaller than my GL2. it's like I can view a small square instead of the entire VF.

I don't know because panasonic thought it would be mega cool to make it like that. It's not a big deal is it?

So that the camera info is NOT on the visuals but above and below.. kind of like a letterboxed image. I much much much rather prefer this. If it were a 4x3 full screen then there would be a full compromise on some level... I like to see the whole image and too me it's not that small. ANOTHER big bit of advice is to turn the viewfinder black and white. Much easier to get the exposure and focus correct.

cheers

I also think that the image in the viewfinder is too small.

It should be as wide as the viewfinder. If you look in the viewfinder and press the menu button, the menu takes all the viewfinder width.
