i dont have a dvx yet but i read the manual and im still not clear on this..

when in squeeze mode, is the image also squeezed in the viewfinder or is it letterboxed for easier framing?

the brochure makes it appear in a diagram that it can be viewed both ways but it doesnt really say it.

thanks

Re: viewfinder while in squeeze mode

It's squeezed in the viewfinder. It's not tough to frame your shots though, because you're still seeing the top and bottom of the frame. It doesn't crop anything extra. There is an adapter available for the viewfinder that will "unsqueeze" the picture. Some people here have that and like it.

also, you can get a nifty eye-piece from century optics (via RUSH!) that goes on the viewfinder and un-squeezes wether you have the Panasonic anamorphic adaptor or are using the software squeeze mode.

i've got one and its great!

although i was surprised because with century optics reputation i expected a little more, like a case to protect the thing!

but other than that minor thing, i love the eyepiece.
