Viewfinder not showing subtle vignette

I'm using a DVX100A. I normally shoot with a UV Haze filter and have no problems. When I add a polorizer (either in tandem or by itself) I get a very small vignetting on the corners. However, it does not show up on the viewfinder or eyepiece.

I shoot zoomed in as much as possible, but has anyone else experienced this? Can I fix it so I see everything on the viewfinder now?

I think the DVX series finder/eyepieces all had this problem that was mostly noticed when lens was full wide . I noticed it when adjusting a mattebox or flag that looked fine in the finder/eyepiece but intruded into the frame when playing back footage on a monitor.
Solution is to use a field monitor that allows underscan viewing to verify no vignetting or errant stands are sneaking into your frame. DVX finder/eyepiece only display an overscan image that works fine for most shooting.
Your strategy of zooming in a little bit from full wide is a good one if no monitor is available. Stacking filters in front of the lens could lead to vignetting, especially when wide focal length is employed.
I no longer own a DVX camera but I still have the 7" Panasonic monitor that can mount atop the DVX and use DVX/HVX batts. It was the best standard def little monitor in it's day. I think they are out of production now but NEBTEK used to sell the modified monitor to accept whatever little camcorder battery out there. It had a switch/menu setting to go from underscan to overscan, 16:9/4:3 and a host of other settings.
Contact me if you can't find one and I'll sell you mine. I think I had put it up here in Marketplace a long time ago but no one was interested.
Back on topic - No, you cannot adjust your finder/eyepiece to see "everything". I think the HVX finder/eyepiece may show more but not sure if it is full underscan or not. I guess I'll have to compare the finder/eyepiece to the larger monitor on set next week.

sorry for the long post!

Thanks for the reply! I'm looking to upgrade to HD in the next year. Either HVX or Z7U, so I'm holding off on putting more money into my DVX.
